Stop, Drop and Roll!

Today was Sam's preschool field trip to the local fire hall. I'm used to her being a bit quiet and shy but today was very opposite. She was the first one to blurt out an answer to the fireman's questions and stand up to volunteer a demo with them! This one was stop, drop and roll. The red felt on the floor represents fire, which Sam had just picked off of herself instead of dropping. The fireman got down on the floor and she 'got it' eventually.
After a group lesson about fire safety, the firemen took the kids for a tour of the fire truck....so exciting for SAM! The parents stayed behind to watch a movie on fire drills in the house, which we all found to be quite an eye-opener.
